Mpls. Reaches Settlement with Cedar Towing
The City of Minneapolis has reached a settlement with one of the city's largest towing companies. The city claimed Cedar Towing over-charged consumers nearly $90,000 over a 10-month period last year.
It also faced a series of ordinance violations and allegations that the company improperly hauled away cars and tacked on illegal service fees.
As part of the settlement, Cedar Towing's Class A license will be suspended for 30 days. It will also have to pay a $20,000 fine.
